I talk a lot about designing your home to support you + the other people/fur babies who live there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's what does it for our fam:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(1) Pet friendly furniture and finishes, because we got dogs on the couch and we like it that way (that's Rocco + Pearl, our pug babies, in the photo)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(2) Comfort. Looks are important but if that sofa or chair doesn't feel like a warm hug after a long day, we want no part of it (the one in this photo is from @article)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(3) Calm colors and warm finishes are everywhere because that makes us feel all cozy and relaxed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(4) As much organization as possible. Stuff will get thrown all around because kids, but at least you'll know where to put it when it's time to clean up and where to find it when you want it (most of the time- see: "because kids"). This is definitely a case for progress over perfection.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
