This was a builder-grade kitchen that just didn't feel custom, so we were hired to redesign it for our clients (a wonderful family).
This kitchen didn't function well when they wanted to cook, and there wasn't enough seating on the island for everyone. This busy family was looking for a place where after a long day of work and school, they could connect and enjoy a meal together. The quality and style of the space just didn't match what they were looking for either. What we did: Because this is their forever home, we wanted it to design with timeless style and still have some modern touches like the lighting. We also went with custom cabinetry - made to fit exactly what they needed and designed to maximize the space. More windows were also added to increase natural light, and so they could enjoy the view of their newly revamped back yard area. We were able to turn the wall to the left into a custom pantry where they could store food items and also appliances that they used frequently but didn't want in view. Your goal of eating healthy, high-frequency foods can start with the design of your kitchen, down to the details! Here are some tips: 🍎 If you have a goal to eat more fruits and veggies, then put those items right at eye level when you open the fridge. 🔪 Get clear bins to keep them organized and beautiful, pre-prep those veggies by cutting them up and getting them ready to grab and go so they’re just as easy as reaching for the junk food. ✨ Make it look visually appealing so it’s even easier to make a healthy choice on autopilot. ❌ Remove any food you don’t want to be eating from your line of sight (𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯!)
