Stay Home Design Tips Series: Using Green in Your Home!

laundry room interior design

Happy St. Patty’s day friends, as many of us Americans are doing our celebrating and green-wearing inside our homes due to the current world health situation. Hoping you are staying safe and healthy!

If you want some more positive vibes flowing in your home, I think the color GREEN is a great place to start. Green is such a calming color- it’s the color of spring, growth and the canopy of trees outside. It’s a wonderful color to surround yourself with if you’d like to have more feelings of calm, harmony and relaxation. (and I think we ALL need a bit of that right now!)

We used Sherwin Williams’ Silver mist (a light tinted green) here to provide a soft wash of color on the cabinetry in this powder room. (Photo by Jonathan Thrasher)

We love using green for wall paint, furniture or accessories- it’s such a versatile color that it often acts as a neutral and mixes well with other colors. Blues and greens together are a personal favorite.

And if you need a cheat sheet of some great looking greens, here are a few of our favorite green paint colors! Enjoy and don’t be afraid to add a touch of green in your space, whether that’s through a wall color, a plant or some new pillows.

Still have no idea how to incorporate a new color into your home? We got you! Email us and set up your online video design consult today and we can walk you through creating a home that empowers and uplifts you. Sending you all the positive vibes!

XO, Amy
